Another way
to imagine the world.

Su Wanwen is a science fiction writer and a member of the China Writers Association. Born in Pingnan, Fujian, in 1989, she received a master’s degree in art studies from Peking University in 2018.

She first published fantasy fiction in 2011 and later turned to science fiction. Her work spans novels, shorter fiction and science fiction for young readers. Her books include Chasing the Wind, The Ship of Everything and Three Thousand Worlds, and she writes science fiction columns for Invention and Innovation and Youth Science Illustrated.

Her short story Running Red was translated into Japanese and included in the multi-author anthology Hashiru Aka: An Anthology of Chinese Women Science Fiction Writers, published by Chuokoron-Shinsha. The Japanese translation was nominated for Best Translated Short Story at the 54th Seiun Awards.
